The Brazilian Open was supposed to take place from April 25 to May 2, 2021 and be the test event for the 5th FAI Pan-American Paragliding Championship. The current pandemic did not allow it.

The Brazilian Open has now be postponed to May 30 to June 5, 2021. Because the overall pandemic situation in Brazil continues to be a major concern for the CIVL Bureau, it will not send its steward to the event. Hence, the Brazilian Open cannot be considered as a test event for the 2022 championship.

CIVL will be in touch with the organisers to define if, when, and how a test event can take place.
