FAI Ballooning Commission Supports 2019 Balloon Youth Camps on Three Continents
The FAI Ballooning Commission (CIA) has been supporting Balloon Youth Camps (BYC) for many years. These camps are important, as they allow young people from all parts of the world to discover hot-air and gas ballooning, with activities such as balloon retrieving, introduction to the safety of ballooning and model ballooning.
In 2019, BYCs were held on three continents: Europe, South America and North America. Balloon organisations in Brazil, the Czech Republic and the USA hosted camps during their flying season.
Over the next few weeks we will publish reports telling the story of the camps, with the aim of sharing their enthusiasm for ballooning, and to attract even more youngsters to practice this great sport!
2020 Balloon Youth Camp Info
For BYC organizers:
The application form for 2020 CIA support of International Balloon Youth Camps is now available.
Deadline to return the form is 10 January 2020. Applications will be considered at the March 2020 CIA Plenary Meeting in Switzerland.
