Welcoming Shivani Hasija
The FAI Secretariat in Lausanne warmly introduces Shivani Hasija, our new Finance and Administrative Officer, who officially joined us on 1 February 2024.
Shivani's journey reflects a rich blend of experience and dedication in sports and finance. With a solid five-year background with major private and multi-national banks, paired with involvement in amateur and professional sports on both national and international levels, Shivani brings a wealth of practical know-how to our team.
As an accomplished international body-building and roller-skating athlete, Shivani's previous roles at the International Testing Agency and the International Olympic Committee highlight her valuable insights.
An alumna of AISTS (International Academy of Sport Science and Technology) in Lausanne, Shivani undertakes the role of FAI Finance and Administrative Officer. Her responsibilities encompass the management of FAI accounting, maintaining cost centres, ensuring financial reporting, providing administrative support to FAI stakeholders alongside other responsibilities.
Coming from New Delhi, India, Shivani is fluent in both Hindi and English, with an intermediate knowledge of French. She works full time at the FAI Secretariat.

Departure of Paola Lopez
It is with much regret that we bid farewell to Finance Manager Paola Lopez, who left the FAI Secretariat on 31 January 2024. After eight years of dedicated service to the FAI, Paola has made the decision to relocate to Spain with her family. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to her for her outstanding work and contributions to the Federation, and we wish her the very best in her future endeavours.
FAI Secretary General Markus Haggeney expressed his sadness at Paola's departure, acknowledging her as an exceptional colleague and team member who made significant contributions to the Federation and will be greatly missed.
