Poland's Szamborski brothers 2024 International Heli Races champions
Marcin and Michał Szamborski have become 2024 International Heli Race champions in their home country, Poland. The pair took part in the fender and slalom tasks at the event in Przylep, Poland on 14-15 June, beating the German crew Andreas Rübner and Holge Wolff by 24 points.
Marcin and Michał Szamborski have competed together for several years, combining their second places in both the fender and slalom to come top of the general class in the Helicopter World Cup 2018. Andreas Rübner and Holge Wolff are regularly winners in national competitions in Germany. Poland’s Michał Czernik and Tomasz Nowak took third place.
Eight crews from Poland and Germany participated in the competition, which was held during the 2nd World Helicopter Rally and featured helicopters and activities to showcase heli sport to visitors.
